Hi, I’m Alicja, the founder and soap maker at AP atelier.
My journey into soap making began during the pandemic, driven by a desire to reduce plastic waste and find a natural solution for my dry, sensitive skin. After extensive research, countless hours of experimentation, and refining various techniques, I developed a signature formula—a nourishing blend of six plant oils and butters, botanical powders, clays, and pure essential oils. The results were transformative: softer, healthier skin and a newfound appreciation for the artistry of handmade soaps.
What started as a personal endeavor soon grew into a passion, as I began creating soap bars for family and friends. From there, AP atelier was born—a reflection of my commitment to sustainable, skin-loving products crafted with care.
My soaps are handmade in small batches, using only the finest plant oils, skin-loving butters, botanical powders, clays and pure essential oils to create gentle, yet luxurious bars of soap. They are completely natural, free from synthetic colors, fragrances, parabens, and SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate). Additionally, I never have and never will use palm oil. All my products are fully safety-assessed by Oxford Biosciences Ltd and comply with EU and UK cosmetic selling regulations.
Sustainability is at the heart of what I do, therefore I put great thought into both ingredients and packaging. Committed to plastic-free packaging, I use recycled, biodegradable, or recyclable materials, where possible. I also reuse or recycle over 95% of the packaging from my suppliers.
I strongly believe that mindful decisions and small actions, when combined over time, can create a significant impact. Opting for natural, plastic-free products helps minimise waste and supports the preservation of Earth's ecosystems.
